We first crossed paths in 2017 at a friend’s cottage in Chester, Nova Scotia. At the time, Amanda was about to leave for an adventure in Australia, but Matt was certain that, when she returned, their story would pick up right where they left off.

True to his word, just two weeks after Amanda returned, we went on our first official date—and we’ve been inseparable ever since.

We've made many wonderful memories together since then, from an amazing trip in the knick of time before the pandemic...

...to adopting our cat Dahlia...

...to finding the most majestic fountain in Venice (we actually spent the full day looking for this)...

...to (overly?) committing to themed parties - this one was a Barbie party...

...to adopting our other fur baby Steve...

...to getting engaged!!...

...to renovating our first home...

...to both crossing the Bluenose Marathon finish line. Matt ran the full marathon, while Amanda ran 3kms in the Corporate Relay. But we both got medals, so pretty much the same thing!

We’ve had lots of great times together, and can't wait to see what our next chapter brings!
